With more than a quarter century of SAT teaching experience, I am proud to be San Diego's leading SAT preparation specialist. A-ACADEMICS' SAT*Magic, the Quick and Easy Way to Master the SAT Reasoning Test, is the remarkable approach to SAT and PSAT tutoring that I developed over a span of more than twenty-five years and have updated, modified, and rewritten to accommodate the latest changes in the SAT test design. SAT*Magic2^ndEdition, the most comprehensive SAT course I have ever written, is designed specifically for the new SAT format. SAT*Magic2^ndEdition includes up-to-date introductory material, study schedules, math notes, critical reading notes, writing notes, vocabulary flashcard sets, and more.  

The introductory portion of SAT*Magic2^ndEdition is designed to thoroughly familiarize the student with the various components of the SAT as well as those of the SAT*Magic2^ndEdition course itself. It also answers many of the most common questions that students and parents ask and dispels the many myths that have led a myriad of students down the wrong paths. SAT*Magic2^ndEdition gives the student a thorough understanding of the nature and structure of the SAT Reasoning Test.

This latest version of SAT*Magic2^ndEdition also includes a set of three study schedule programs. These study schedules are designed to accommodate an individual student’s needs and do not require a daily tutoring appointment. The student simply meets with me, once-a-week, while adhering to one of the three study schedules.

One of the most renowned features of SAT*Magic2^ndEdition is its math notes sections. These notes include the reasoning skills (clever reasoning "tricks" and shortcuts) and math concepts that enable the student to master the math sections of the SAT with ease. I have compiled this set of mathematics notes over a span of twenty-five years and have presented them in an easy-to-learn format. The student begins to use these skills from the very first day of his or her SAT*Magic2^ndEdition program. SAT*Magic2^ndEdition also includes a wonderful set of SAT Critical Reading notes, Writing notes, and Vocabulary flashcards. I developed the SAT*Magic2^ndEdition flashcard set from a list of more than 10,400 words that I extracted from actual SAT tests given over the past twenty-five years. I then sorted the list to isolate the most frequent SAT vocabulary words. The current SAT*Magic2^ndEdition flashcard set represents the 1000 most common SAT words that students should learn. An additional set of 600 flashcards is also available as a supplement to the 1000 cards included with course. With the SAT*Magic2^ndEdition flashcard sets, a student can rest assured that he or she is studying the most common, genuine SAT words in the most efficient manner possible. Along with the vocabulary flashcards, SAT*Magic2^ndEdition also provides the critical reading skills, verbal skills, and essay writing skills necessary to master both the Critical Reading and the Writing sections of the new SAT.
